SECURITY AND DIPLOMACY IN THE WESTERN BALKANS

The International Institute for Middle East and Balkan Studies IFIMES, Center Evropa, the Representation of the European Commission in the Republic of Slovenia and the Governmental Office of Communication invite cordially to the presentation of the book of Dr. Milan Jazbec “Security and Diplomacy in the Western Balkans” published by IFIMES, which will take place on Monday, October 27, 2008 at 16.00 in the Center Evropa at Dalmatinova 4 in Ljubljana.

The book “Security and Diplomacy in the Western Balkans” presents an important contribution of both the author as well as of the Institute to the understanding of the role of security processes and diplomatic activities in the Western Balkans, in particular through the eyes of the Euro Atlantic perspective of the region, where Slovenia plays an important role.

Apart by the author, the book will be presented and discussed by

• Prof. Dr. Ljubica Jelušič, Faculty of Social Sciences,
• Jelko Kacin, member of the European Parliament, and
• Victor Jackovich, former US Ambassador to Slovenia as well as to Bosnia and Herzegovina, who will also moderate the presentation.

The language will be Slovene.
