”Serbia and the EU”
The lecture will be held on Tuesday, 28 May 2013, at 16.00
in the “Grad” hall of Hotel Lev (13th floor) at Vošnjakova ulica 1, Ljubljana.
Zoran Živković, former Prime Minister of the Republic of Serbia, took part in the process of democratic changes in Serbia. His political work in the 90’s of last century was marked by taking part in the opposition in Đinđić's Democratic Party (DS) and the Democratic Opposition of Serbia (DOS). After the assassination of Prime Minister Zoran Đinđić he successfully continued his work as a Prime Minister. Recently he founded new political party called "New Party", he is it’s president.
In the lecture the former Serbian Prime Minister will speak about the relations between Serbia and the EU, about the integration process, the prospects of Serbia from full membership in the EU and current events in Serbia, such as the recently signed agreement in Brussels between official Belgrade and Pristine. After the lecture of the former Prime Minister, who is also vice president of the Advisory Board of IFIMES, participants can ask questions.
The lecture will be in the Serbian language and will be followed by a discussion moderated by mag. Zijad Bećirović and Bakhatyar Aljaf.
