"DISINTEGRATION OF SFRY - BOSNIA AND HERZEGOVINA 20 YEARS LATER"
which will be delivered by
Bogić Bogićević,
former member of SFRY Presidency.
The lecture will be held on Tuesday, 12 June 2012, at 16.00 h
in the Auditorium of Center Evropa at Dalmatinova 4 in Ljubljana.
Bogić Bogićević was a member of the SFRY (former Socialist Federative Republic of Yugoslavia) Presidency during the period 1989 to 1991. In this political function he witnessed the events during the disintegration of former Yugoslavia and the formation of new states in its territory. He was the first democratically elected member of the SFRY Presidency from Bosnia and Herzegovina who won the highest number of votes among the five candidates running at the referendum.
He lived in Sarajevo during the war in Bosnia and Herzegovina. After the war has been a member of the Parliament of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Vice-President of Social Democratic Party (SDP) and Chairman of the Bosnian Olympic Committee.
The lecture will be held in the languages of Bosnia and Herzegovina
and will be followed by a discussion with the guest lecturer which will be moderated by
Zijad Bećirović and Bakhatyar Aljaf.
