PRESS RELEASE
Sarajevo, 11 January 2017 - The director of the International Institute for Middle-East and Balkan Studies (IFIMES) Assist. Prof. Zijad Bećirović visited Rectorate of the University of Sarajevo (UNSA), where he met with the Rector prof. dr. Rifat Škrijelj and the Vice Rector for Arts, Culture and Sport, prof. dr. Zijad Mehić.
They discussed the forms and methods of cooperation between the University of Sarajevo and the International Institute IFIMES. The talks touched the possibility that IFIMES within the framework of its operation and the ability helps UNSA in its further development. The signing of an agreement on cooperation between the two institutions was also announced.
At the end of the conversation, the Director Bećirović invited the rector of the UNSA Škrijelj to visit IFIMES and has a lecture at the Institute. He stressed the following: "The University of Sarajevo has, as a leading institution in high education and scientific research in Bosnia and Herzegovina, much potential that may be present on international level. Therefore IFIMES will help and give its capacity available to university in order to gain on force. The signing of a cooperation agreement will certainly help to achieve this goal."
