Director Aljaf becomes “Ambassador of Knowledge”
LJUBLJANA / Brdo pri Kranju, 3 June 2015 - Life Learning Academia (LLA) - Organization for certification and management of professional and integration processes in the field of knowledge, granted the honorary title of "Ambassador of Knowledge” to Bakhatyar Aljaf, director of the International Institute for Middle-East and Balkan Studies (IFIMES), and other renowned and eminent experts.
The awards ceremony was held at the Brdo Congress Centre under the honorary sponsorship of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Slovenia, Dr. Miro Cerar.
The prestigious award "Ambassador of Knowledge" was handed to director Aljaf by Dr. Anja Kopač Mrak, Minister of Labour, Family and Social Affairs of the Republic of Slovenia, in the presence of the president and director of Life Learning Academia Andreja Jernejčič Vizjak and Marjetka Kastner.
Other members and associates of the International Institute IFIMES also received awards for their contribution. Boštjan Ploštajner, senior adviser at the Institute, received the "Mentor" award, while Luka Jazbec received the "Reference" award. Retired professor at the Faculty of Law, University of Ljubljana, prof. dr. Albin Igličar, who has been involved with the IFIMES Institute for many years, received the »Senior Mentor" award.
Many participants from different countries attended the event, from the science, business and academic community and public life. The event emphasised learning, knowledge and integration.
After the awards ceremony a festive reception in honour of the laureates was held.
The International Institute for Middle-East and Balkan Studies (IFIMES) is a member of the elite community of Learning Organizations. On behalf of the Institute Director Zijad Bećirović received the certificate for a Learning Organization.
