His Excellency Karl Erjavec
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Slovenia
The lecture will be held on Monday, 16 February 2015, at 16.00 h
in the “Grad” hall of Hotel Lev (13th floor) at Vošnjakova 1, Ljubljana.
Karl Erjavec is one of the most experienced Slovenian politicians. He graduated from the Faculty of Law at the Ljubljana University. He served as minister in three governments (Foreign Affairs Minister, Minister of the Environment and Spatial Planning and Minister of Defence) and currently he is Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Slovenia. He has been President of the Democratic Party of Pensioners of Slovenia (DeSUS) for 10 years.
Minister Erjavec will present his views on some key issues in Slovenian foreign policy and the challenges that we are facing. In view of the country's export-oriented economy it should be noted that foreign policy is of vital importance for Slovenia.
The lecture will be delivered in the Slovenian language and will be followed by a discussion with the guest lecturer which will be moderated by Zijad Bećirović and Bakhatyar Aljaf.
