H. E. Zoran Zaev is Prime Minister of the Republic of North Macedonia since 31 May 2017, he is also the President of the Social Democratic Union of Macedonia (SDSM).
He is part of the new generation of politicians on the Macedonian political scene. He is one of the most recognizable social-democratic politicians of the younger generation in the region. His efforts are directed towards the membership of the Republic of Northern Macedonia in the EU and NATO, to the fight against crime and corruption and to the economic development of his country. The Republic of North Macedonia has become a positive example to other countries in the region and a lighthouse of Euro-Atlantic integrations, some called it a "success story".
In his lecture, Prime Minister Zoran Zaev will talk about current developments in North Macedonia since coming to power, setting a date for the start of negotiations with the EU and the future of North Macedonia, which is linked to regional and neighborly cooperation and membership in the EU and NATO.
The lecture will be delivered in English and will be followed by a discussion with the guest lecturer moderated by Assist. Prof. Dr. Zijad Bećirović and Bakhatyar Aljaf.
