IFIMES signed a cooperation agreement with the Institute RIEAS from Athens
Ljubljana, 29 December 2013 - The International Institute for Middle-East and Balkan Studies (IFIMES) from Ljubljana signed a memorandum of understanding with the The Research Institute for European and American Studies – RIEAS from Athens, Greece.
In a memorandum signed by the director of IFIMES Zijad Bećirović and the director of RIEAS John M. Nomikos, both institutes express their commitment to joint efforts for cooperation in science and research. As pointed out in the memorandum the priorities in particular are the exchange of experts, researchers, university teachers, exchange of opinions, views and information in the areas that are important for both institutions, including the best-practice exchange and transfer of research and event management know-how. Cooperation will also include the preparation of joint conferences, roundtables and other public events and other forms of scientific cooperation, such as joint publications and research studies.
By signing this agreement, both institutions support, promote and enhance the scientific and socio-cultural research and cooperation between them as well as among the similar research organizations within their respective countries and regions.
