Dr. Stane Vlaj passed away
LJUBLJANA, 23 December 2014 – The International Institute for Middle-East and Balkan Studies (IFIMES) deeply regrets to announce the loss of Professor Dr.Stane Vlaj.
Dr. Vlaj was the Head of Department for Local and Regional Studies (DeLORS) and he cooperated with the IFIMES Institute for over a decade.
He was an expert on local government and an avid advocate of reforming Slovenian local self-government who promoted the introduction of regions.
Dr. Vlaj will be sorely missed as a colleague, expert and friend.
The IFIMES Institute expresses our sincere condolences to his family.
