Josip Juratovic (SPD) has been a member of the German Bundestag (Deutscher Bundestag) since 2005. He is the chairman of the Parliamentary Friendship Group for Relations with the States of South-Eastern Europe. He was one of the most recognizable trade unionists in southern Germany. From 2014 to 2019, he was the Commissioner for Integration within the SPD parliamentary group. He has been a member of the Committee on Foreign Affairs for many years, now he is a member and a SPD rapporteur of the Committee on European Union Affairs.
In his lecture, MP Juratovic will present his views on the new German foreign policy after the establishment of a new coalition government and majority (SPD, Greens and Liberals) and his views on the challenges facing the countries of Southeast Europe.
The lecture will be delivered in Croatian and will be followed by a discussion with the guest lecturer moderated by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Zijad Bećirović and Bakhatyar Aljaf.
