the International Institute for Middle-East and Balkan Studies (IFIMES[1])

Academician Dr. Mirko Pejanović

entitled

The statehood of Bosnia and Herzegovina 

in the 20^th and 21^st centuries

on Thuesday, 9 November 2023, at 17.00 h 

 uHotel, (ex Grand Hotel Union Business), hall »Orhideja«, Miklošičeva cesta 3, Ljubljana.

As part of the POLITIKON edition, IKD "University Press - Izdanja Magistrat" from Sarajevo, published new book by Academician prof. dr. Mirko Pejanović with the title "Statehood of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the 20^th and 21^st centuries" (English edition).

In the book the author writes about the historical foundations of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the development of the statehood of Bosnia and Herzegovina from the middle of the 20th century to the most recent post-Dayton period.

The book will be presented by:

• Stjepan Mesić, president of the Republic of Croatia 2000-2010,
• Ambassador Dr. Valentin Inzko, High representative of the international community in Bosnia and Herzegovina 2009-2021,
• Prof. Dr. Emeritus Ernest Petrič, former president of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Slovenia and member of the Venice Commission of the Council of Europe,
• Academician Prof. Dr. Mirko Pejanović, Member of Presidency of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina 1992-1996 and Vice-President of the Academy of Sciences and Arts of Bosnia and Herzegovina (ANUBiH), author,
• Assoc. Prof. Dr. Zijad Bećirović, Director of IFIMES-a, moderator.

The event will be held in the Slovenian language and the languages of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
